Pre-Piano Ensemble starts from age 4+. Piano Lab group lessons are tailored for children aged 6+ depending upon individual student suitability and lesson availability. Classes for 3 yr olds may be available in future – please enquire. At the other end of the scale – you’re never too old to start!
For Pre-Piano Ensemble, no piano is required. For all types of piano lessons we recommend students have a full size good quality acoustic or digital piano at home for practice. We teach quality in technique, expression and listening and we’d love this to be mirrored at home. Please consult with us prior to purchasing a piano.
Fees are payable by term in advance at the start of each term. Invoices are emailed and payment terms are 7 days from invoice date. Payment can be made by bank transfer or cash.
All scheduled lessons for the term are payable regardless of student attendance. Your position is reserved for you and cannot be filled on a casual basis. Reduced term fees due to planned student absences are not available. One make-up lesson per term is offered provided 24 hours notice of cancellation is given.
You can enrol at any time provided there is availability. You only pay for the number of weeks left in the term.
Regular, consistent ‘playing’ is the best formula for success on any instrument. We hope students will be inspired to play every day. Rather than having a set time per day, perhaps practice time could be approached as however long it takes to master the goals for that week.
 
Exams can be a great motivator for growth and improvement. The teacher will discuss exam options with you if and when they feel students may benefit from exams. Generally one to two years of tuition would precede exams.

There may be a wait list in which case we will keep your details on file and notify you when a trial lesson time becomes available. There is no obligation to enrol for ongoing lessons. You may withdraw from the trial lesson at any time if you decide not to go ahead.

Yes, we are a registered activity provider.  Just email us your valid $100 voucher and deduct $110 off your music fees (we can claim the extra $10 GST).
